Cnooc to Expand Hainan Terminal's Truck Loading Capacity

Cnooc Gas and Power, a unit of state-owned Cnooc, said August 8 it has commenced work August 4 on building new truck loading infrastructure at Hainan LNG terminal.

The company will build 10 LNG truck-loading facilities at the terminal. The work is expected to be complete by October this year. Once these tanks are operational, terminal’s truck-loading capacity will rise to 1.32mn mt/yr, Cnooc Gas and Power stated without disclosing what is the current capacity.

Hainan LNG terminal is located near the Yangpu Economic Development Zone, on the northwestern coast of the island province of Hainan. It has a nominal capacity of 3mn mt/yr and is 65% owned by Cnooc Gas and Power while the remaining stake is held by Hainan government.
