Cnooc Gas Supplies Hit Record

Cnooc Gas and Power said December 12 its daily gas supplies exceeded 200mn m3 for the first time ever.

The company supplied 205mn m3 of gas December 10, significantly higher than the single-day high of 173mn m3 seen last year. For the whole year of 2018, Cnooc Gas and Power, a unit of state-owned Cnooc, plans to supply 48bn m3 of natural gas.

According to Cnooc Gas and Power, gas demand has increased due to sharp fall in temperature in northern China.

Cnooc Gas and Power is the biggest LNG importer in China and operates nine receiving terminals in the country.
