Cnooc Fujian New Energy sold 162,500 metric tons of LNG in the three months to March 31 (Q1), up 85% year/year, its parent company Cnooc Gas and Power said on April 7.  

The city gas company supplies gas and LNG in the counties of Fujian province including Youxi, Mingxi, Shunchang, Guangze and Xianyou. These counties have a total population of over 2.2mn.

Cnooc Gas and Power operates an LNG terminal in Putian and supplies gas to city gas companies in Fuzhou, Putian, Quanzhou, Xiamen, and Zhangzhou as well as to gas-fired power plants.
