CNOOC announces latest offshore bidding round

Chinese state-owned CNOOC on July 18 said it is offering 13 offshore oil and gas blocks to foreign firms in the 2022 bidding round.

The 13 blocks cover a combined area of 17,205 km2. One block is located in the Bohai Bay and one in Yinggehai Basin while 11 are located in Pearl River Mouth Basin, CNOOC said.

“In 2022, CNOOC will innovate cooperation modes with foreign enterprises and expand the scope of partners while continuing to uphold the vision of win-win cooperation,” it said.

The data room will be open till December 31 and the last date for submission of bids is February 28, 2023.
