Chiyoda Ups Indonesian LNG Output Using AI

Japanese engineering group Chiyoda was able to raise production at the end of July at Indonesia’s PT Donggi-Senoro LNG plant, using artificial technology (AI).

The increase was possible thanks to improved efficiency using an AI optimising solution, Chiyoda said in a September 11 statement. The solution learns through operating experience and advises plant operators of optimum operational parameters.

Chiyoda said this was the first time the innovative AI product, known as Deep Learning, had been deployed at an LNG project. It was hired to provide the solution by PT Donggi-Senoro's operator, Indonesia’s state gas company Pertamina, in August 2018.
