Chinese LNG imports drop 26% in June

Chinese LNG imports in June came in at 4.82mn metric tons, down 26% year/year, customs department data published on July 18 showed. The imports were down 2.2% month/month. 

The cumulative LNG imports during the first six months of the year were 31.26mn mt, down 20% yr/yr. The pipeline gas imports last month were 3.9mn mt, up 11.5% yr/yr. China’s cumulative pipeline gas imports during the first half of the year were 22.32mn mt, up 11.3% yr/yr.
