Chinese Gas Output in May Up 10.5%

Chinese natural gas production for the month of May was 12bn m³, up 10.5% on year, according to latest data by country’s National Bureau of Statistics.

However, May output was lower when compared with production in April. In April, natural gas output was 12.2bn m³, up 15% on year.

During January-May, natural gas production was 62.93bn m³, up 6.8% year on year.

China’s coalbed methane output in May was 0.62bn m³, up 0.6% on year.  In the first five months of 2017, CBM production was 3.16bn m³, up 3.2% on year.
