    Chinese Gas Output in May Up 10.5%

Chinese Gas Output in May Up 10.5%

Chinese natural gas production for the month of May was 12bn m3, up 10.5% on year, according to latest data by country’s National Bureau of Statistics.

However, May output was lower when compared with production in April. In April, natural gas output was 12.2bn m3, up 15% on year.

During January-May, natural gas production was 62.93bn m3, up 6.8% year on year.

China’s coalbed methane output in May was 0.62bn m3, up 0.6% on year.  In the first five months of 2017, CBM production was 3.16bn m3, up 3.2% on year.
