    Chinese gas imports down 4% in Jan-Feb

Chinese gas imports down 4% in Jan-Feb

China’s natural gas imports via pipeline and in the form of LNG in the first two months of 2022 were down 3.8% year/year, the country’s customs department said on March 7.

Asia's biggest economy imported 19.86mn metric tons of natural gas in January-February versus 20.64mn mt in the previous year, the customs department said. The country’s natural gas imports in 2021 were 121.36mn mt, up 19.9% year/year.
