Chinese Gas Production Rises in November

China’s domestic natural gas production continued its upward trend in November as demand surged because of government’s push towards a switch from coal to gas.

China produced 12.63bn m³ of gas last month, up 3% year on year, according to China's statistics bureau. Accumulated production during the first eleven months of 2017 was 133.8bn m³, up 9.1% year on year.

Production of coalbed methane (CBM) in November was 0.64bn m³, up 14.3% year on year; during the January-November period, China’s total CBM production was 6.39bn m³, up 8.2% year on year.
