China's November LNG Imports Up Over 9%

China imported 6.51mn metric tons of LNG in November, up 9.4% yr/yr, the customs department’s data published December 23 showed. Imports were up month on month from 4.04mn mt in October.

During the first 11 months of the year, China imported 53.85mn mt of LNG, representing a 13.4% increase compared with the same period of last year.

Meanwhile, China’s pipeline gas imports in November came to 2.95mn mt, down 6.9% yr/yr. During the January-November period pipeline gas shipments totalled 33.26mn mt, down 1.2% yr/yr, the data showed.
