    China's LNG imports up 17% in June

China's LNG imports up 17% in June

China’s LNG imports in June came in at 6.72mn metric tons, up 16.5% year/year, customs department data published July 18 showed. The imports were down 4.5% month/month, however.

During the first six months of the year, the country's LNG imports were 39.78mn mt, up 27.8% yr/yr. Meanwhile, in June, China’s pipeline gas imports were 3.49mn mt, up 37.5% yr/yr. The data showed that pipeline gas imports during the January-June period were 20.04mn mt, up 16/7% yr/yr.
