China's Jereh to Build 10 LNG Stations in Russia

China’s Jereh Group has been awarded a contract to build 10 LNG fuelling stations in Russia, it said July 26 without offering more details.

The company is going to provide integrated services for this project covering modular design, procurement, manufacture, as well as commissioning. The project is expected to be complete by September and likely to be commissioned a month later, it said.

Jereh said there is a significant demand potential for LNG, especially in the transportation sector but limited number of fuelling stations has constrained the development.

In 2018, the Russian government decided to subsidise civilian use of LNG with the aim to benefit the local environment. With correct government policies demand for LNG will expand, Jereh said.
