China’s natural gas reserves increased the most last year, China Daily reported citing a senior government official.

New proven natural gas reserves were at 961 billion cubic meters in 2012, up 33 percent year-on-year, Xu Dachun, deputy director of the mineral resources reserves department of the Ministry of Land and Resources, said at a press conference in Beijing, China Daily reported.
