China's gas output up 13% in Q1

China’s natural gas production during the three months to March 31 (Q1) was 53.3bn m3, up 13.1% year/year, state-run Xinhua news agency reported on April 17 citing the data from the National Bureau of Statistics 

In March, the output came in at 18.5bn m3, up 12.1% yr/yr, the data showed. China’s natural gas imports via pipeline and in the form of LNG in Q1 were up 19.6% yr/yr to 29.38mn metric tons, according to customs department data published last week.
