China's Gas Output in May Up 13%
China's natural gas production in May was 15.9bn m3, up 12.7% yr/yr, as per data published on June 15 by the country’s statistics bureau.
During the first five months of the year, production was 78.8bn m3, up 10.1% yr/yr, the data showed.
Earlier this month, the Chinese customs department said that the country imported 40.12mn metric tons of gas during the January-May period, up 1.9% yr/yr. In May this year, China imported 7.84mn mt of gas, up 3.7% yr/yr.
