China's Dazhangtuo gas storage facility passes milestone

State-run CNPC has injected 10bn m3 of natural gas into Dazhangtuo, China's first underground commercial gas storage facility, since it became operational in 2000, the company said on July 14.

The gas storage facility is located in the Binhai New Area in northern China's Tianjin province and supplies gas to Beijing and surrounding areas. It is one of the 10 storage facilities in Dagang oilfield operated by CNPC.
