China's Changqing Oilfield passes production milestone

Changqing Oilfield, China's largest oil and gas field, has produced over 50bn m3 of natural gas so far this year, its operator CNPC said on December 27.

Last year, the field produced more than 46.5bn m3 of natural gas, accounting for 23% of China’s total output. The field is located in the country's northern Ordos basin and supplies oil and gas to cities including Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei.
