China's April LNG Imports Up

China imported 4.54mn metric tons of LNG in April, up 35.1% year-on-year, customs department’s data published May 23 showed.

April imports were up month-on-month as well. In March, China imported 4.06mn mt of LNG. World’s second biggest LNG importer had imported record 6.58mn mt of LNG in January.

China’s pipeline imports in April were 3.11mn mt, down 9.3% year-on-year.
