China Produces Record Natural Gas in November
China produced a record 14.3bn m3 of natural gas in the month of November, up 10.1% compared with the same month last year, according to the data published by statistics department December 14.
Average production during the month was 480mn m3/d, also a record, the statistics department said.
Asia biggest economy produced 143.8bn m3 of natural gas during the first 11 months of 2018, up 6.6% year-on-year, the data showed.
Chinese state-owned explorers have ramped up output to meet strong domestic demand, which has been trending up since early-2017. Last year, China's natural gas production was 147.42bn m³, up 8.5% year-on-year, according to the data.
