China Produced 9.8 bcm of Natural Gas in April

China produced 9.8 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas in April down 2 percent year on year, according to latest data issued by the National Development and Reform Commission, Xinhua Finance reported Thursday.

Imports stood at 3.8 bcm, down 20.3 percent on year.

Natural gas consumption declined 5.9 percent to 12.7 bcm in the month, the data showed, Xinhua Finance reported.

During Jan-Apr, country’s natural gas output and natural gas consumption stood at 45 bcm and 62.9 bcm, up 4.7 percent and 2.4 percent, respectively. Imports of natural gas grew 7 percent to 19.8 bcm in the first four months of 2015.
