China May LNG Imports Up

China imported 4.43mn metric tons of LNG in May, up 7.6% year-on-year, customs department’s data published June 23 showed.

May imports were, however, a tad lower month-on-month. In April, China imported 4.54mn mt of LNG. During the first five months of the year, LNG imports were 23.87mn mt, up 20.3% year-on-year.
