Cheniere signs 13-year LNG supply deal with China's ENN

US LNG exporter Cheniere Energy has signed a 13-year deal to supply 0.9mn metric tons of LNG annually to Chinese gas distributor ENN, the latter company said on October 11.

Supplies will begin in July 2022 and will be delivered on a free-on-board basis, ENN said, without disclosing pricing details.

ENN said the deal was the first LNG sale and purchase agreement it had signed since restructuring its gas assets last year, and marked its first cooperation with Cheniere in the LNG field.

Cheniere said the agreement would help contract out long-term capacity at its Corpus Christi Stage 3 project, where it expects to take a final investment decision next year.

ENN operates the Zhoushan LNG import terminal in China. The company is also making inroads in the LNG bunkering sector, announcing in March the launch of China's first dedicated LNG bunkering vessel.
