Chart Industries to supply liquefaction equipment for Cedar LNG

New York-listed Chart Industries has been chosen to supply liquefaction equipment for the Cedar LNG floating liquefaction project in Canada, it said on April 15.

The order, awarded by engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firm Black & Veatch, includes key components for natural gas processing. Chart will deliver both the liquefaction cold boxes and brazed aluminum heat exchangers.

This award comes on the heels of Black & Veatch receiving a full notice to proceed (NTP) on the project's construction on April 11,  just a week after Cedar LNG had issued a limited NTP. The Cedar LNG project is a partnership between the Haisla Nation, an Indigenous community, and Pembina Pipeline.

A final investment decision on the estimated $3.4 billion project is expected by mid-2024.
