Canada’s TC Energy names gas president’s replacement

Canadian infrastructure company TC Energy said January 26 it would expand the role of Bevin Wirzba, its executive vice president and president of its liquids pipelines, to include responsibility for Canadian gas pipelines.

The move came after Tracy Robinson, executive vice president and president of TC Energy’s Canadian gas pipelines and Coastal GasLink, advised that she would be joining CN Rail as its CEO on February 28.

Wirzba becomes TC Energy’s executive vice president, strategy and corporate development, and group executive, Canadian natural gas and liquids pipelines, effective immediately.

“Bevin’s experience, expertise and leadership capabilities position him well to oversee the Canadian natural gas portfolio, in addition to his existing accountabilities,” TC Energy said in a media statement. “He has deep knowledge of commercial management, with a unique perspective that links operations, strategy, financial management, strategic projects and stakeholder partnerships.”

Robinson, who joined TC Energy in 2014, is returning to her railroad roots – for 27 years she filled a number of executive roles at CN’s main rival, Canadian Pacific.

“We thank Tracy for her many contributions to TC Energy and wish her the best in her new role,” TC Energy said.
