Cameron LNG Begins Production At Train 3

Cameron LNG has begun producing LNG from the third and final liquefaction train of its Phase 1 liquefaction-export project in Hackberry, Louisiana, its operator Sempra Energy said on May 18.

Commercial operations for Train 3 under Cameron LNG's tolling agreements remain on track to begin in the third quarter of 2020, the company said. Cameron LNG achieved commercial operations of Train 1 and Train 2 in August 2019 and February 2020, respectively.

Sempra has a 50.2% stake in Cameron LNG. Its partners are France's Total and Japan’s Mitsui & Co, Mitsubishi and Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha. At full capacity, Cameron LNG will have a combined output of 12mn metric tons/year.
