Bulgaria passes gas consumption tax break: press

Bulgaria's parliament has approved an excise duty exemption for natural gas, LNG and electricity purchases that will remain in effect until June 2025, Bulgarian News Agency reported June 29.

Members of parliament also agreed a value-added tax (VAT) reduction of 11 percentage points for the delivery of natural gas and central heating, meaning gas producers and buyers will now pay a flat 9% rate.
