BP to Supply 230 mmscfd of Gas to Indonesia

British Petroleum will allocate 230 million standard cubic feet of gas per day through BP Tangguh Ltd for the Indonesian market. The two parties will ink the deal on May 24. 

Gas will be used be used to activate a power plant in Bintuni, Papua. Half of the supplies will be channelled to a Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU) in West Java and Lampung. 

The British energy firm also plans to invest $11 billion in Indonesia, part of which will be used to develop Train 3 in the Tangguh LNG field. Train 3 needs $3.8 billion of investment.
