BP, Shenzhen Gas sign gas supply pact

BP has signed an agreement to supply pipeline gas to Shenzhen Sino-Benny LPG Co., China Daily reported on October 21.

This is the first long-term deal with price indexed to international LNG in China's domestic gas market, the newspaper added. According to the deal, BP will provide Sino-Benny, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shenzhen Gas Group, with up to 300,000 metric tons/year of pipeline in Shenzhen. The supplies will start in 2023.

The gas will be supplied through the LNG receiving terminal of Guangdong Dapeng LNG Co. where BP holds regasification capacity.
