BP Delivers More Gas from ACG to Socar

BP delivered 1.8bn m³ of sales gas from the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli oil block to its Azerbaijani counterparty, the state-owned Socar, it said. The figure is about 37.4% more than 1H 2016. BP did not specify how much associated gas was produced.

However, NGW understands that in January-June, 6.61bn m³ of associated gas were produced at ACG, about 5.3% less than 1H16. About 1.8bn m³ were delivered to state-run oil and gas company Socar and the rest of volume was re-injected to ACG to maintain oil production.

Associated gas from the ACG block is transferred to the state oil and gas company Socar free of charge.
