Barcelona Event to Focus on Progress of Unconventional Gas Developments

Spain’s inaugural Unconventional Gas Forum will see leading experts meeting to discuss practical solutions and first hand experience to deliver successful and profitable unconventional gas projects in Europe and abroad.

The event, organised by WTG conferences, takes place between 13th and 14th March 2012 in Barcelona and will feature a keynote address by Mr Xabier Garmendia Martinez, Deputy Minister for Industry and Energy, Basque Government, on the current state of play for shale exploration and production in the Basque Region.

The Basque government has announced it would be investing together with parties including Heyco Energy Group, to explore potential unconventional gas holdings in Álava, in the area known as Gran Enara. John Underwood, Head of Exploration, Heyco Energy Group will also be presenting.
