Bangladesh, Iran Talk Oil, Gas Exports

Bangladesh has expressed interest in importing oil and gas from Iran.

Tufail Ahmad, Bangladesh’s commerce minister met with Iranian delegation in Dhaka on Wednesday where the topic was discussed, Iran’s state owned new agency Shana reported. The Iranina delegation was headed by MR Mawdudi, of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran.

Ahmad said his country if facing severe gas shortage and Iranian gas exports would be of great help.

It was also announced that energy minister of Bangladesh will visit Iran in March to take the matter forward.

Last month European and American sanctions were finally, restoring Iran’s access to world markets.
