Baker Hughes GE Wins Cheniere Turbo Order

Baker Hughes, A GE Company (BHGE) said June 14 it had been awarded a contract to supply turbomachinery for Train 3 of Cheniere Energy’s Corpus Christi LNG facility in Texas.

Cheniere took a positive FID on Train 3 in late May, directing EPC contractor Bechtel Oil, Gas & Chemicals to proceed to construction on the 4.5mn metric tons/year Train 3. As part of that direction, Bechtel contracted BHGE to supply six gas turbines that will drive various compressors in Train 3.

BHGE supplied similar equipment to the two trains currently under construction at Corpus Christi, as well as to Cheniere’s Sabine Pass LNG facility in Louisiana.
