AWE Flows Gas from Perth Basin Well

AWE Limited has flowed gas at a maximum constrained rate of 3.5 million standard cubic feet per day from its Arrowsmith-2 well in the onshore Perth Basin, Western Australia, reports Proactive Investors Australia.

Arrowsmith-2 is currently flowing from three co-mingled zones: the High Cliff Sandstones, Irwin River Coal Measures and the Carynginia formation.

AWE plans to capture as much flow rate data as possible before acquiring 3D seismic over the Arrowsmith area, Proactive Investors said citing company statement.

It also plans to drill between two and four wells in the Perth Basin in 2014. This includes an appraisal of its successful Senecio well and an exploration well at Drover.

AWE has a 44.25% stake in EP 413 where the Arrowsmith-2 well is located.
