Australia's EWC sells Sengkang power plant to PLN

Australia's Energy World Corporation (EWC) on May 23 announced the sale of its 315 MW Sengkang gas-fired power plant in Indonesia to PLN Nusantara, a wholly owned subsidiary of state-owned utility PLN (Perusahaan Listrik Negara).

The sale was finalised following the expiration of the power purchase agreement between EWC and PLN in September of the previous year. EWC has stated that additional information regarding the sale will be provided once the half-year accounts are released. The company expects these reports to be available in the near future, pending the completion of the auditors' review.

The Sengkang gas-fired power plant is operated by Energi Sengkang, a subsidiary of EWC. It was commissioned in 2013.
