Australia's Beach Energy appoints Morne Engelbrecht as CEO

Australian oil and gas company Beach Energy on May 19 announced the appointment of Morne Engelbrecht as CEO, effective immediately.

Beach said that Engelbrecht’s strong performance in the role of acting CEO confirmed that he is the ideal candidate to lead the company through the ongoing execution of its development programmes and the next phase of growth. Engelbrecht assumed the role of acting CEO in November last year.

Engelbrecht has over 20 years of oil, gas and resource sector experience, including the last six years with Beach. He joined Beach in 2016 as CFO and was instrumental in the acquisition and subsequent integration of Lattice Energy.
