Australia's Rialto Energy to Test Côte D’Ivoire Oil, Gas Well

Perth based Rialto Energy will begin testing of its Gazelle-P3 ST2 well offshore Côte D’Ivoire after encountering oil and gas. Testing operations are expected to be completed in around 2 weeks.

Following successful testing operations, the well will be suspended for future completion as the first production well of the Gazelle field. The drilling rig will then move directly to the Gazelle-P4 location to commence drilling of this second development well of the current fully funded three well programme.

Rialto is the Operator (85% working interest) of the CI-202 block offshore Côte d’Ivoire. The CI-202 block contains the Gazelle Field, which is the current focus of development, with first production expected by the end of 2013-2014.
