Armour Flows Gas from Oz Myall Creek Well

Armour Energy has completed the multi-stage hydraulic stimulation program at its 100%-owned Australian Myall Creek 4A well in Queensland and is producing 2 million feet3 per day of gas, the company said August 7.

“The well will continue to clean up for several more days and this reported 2mn ft3 per day rate is only with an estimated 30% of fluid recovered of the total stimulation fluid injected. Currently the well is choked to control the flowback rate to maximise the fluid recovery,” the company said.

“It is expected that over the coming days additional fluid will be recovered, fluid flow rates will decrease, and gas flow rates will continue to increase,” it said.

Armour intends to tie Myall Creek 4A’s production into the existing Myall Creek compressor station which connects to its Kincora Gas Plant facility and Armour’s sales gas pipeline to Wallumbilla.
