Angola LNG Inks Deal with RWE

Angola LNG said September 11 that it has entered into an LNG sales agreement with Germany's RWE Supply & Trading, whereby it will deliver LNG cargoes to RWEST at destinations around the world.

Angola LNG Marketing, which halted all production for two years until mid-2016, said: “Angola LNG is operating safely and reliably. This agreement is a further demonstration of Angola’s increasing role in global LNG, providing LNG all over the world and establishing relationships with a series of important international LNG market players. We are pleased to be working with RWE and look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship.”

RWEST said: “We are very pleased to have entered into this agreement with Angola LNG. These LNG purchases will be added to our portfolio and enable us to expand our business further to take advantage of the significant opportunities we see in the global LNG market.”

The agreement, for a duration and term not disclosed by Angola LNG, is the third in a series.

A week ago it announced a similar deal with Vitol, and in March 2016 it entered into a flexible sales arrangement for the delivery to EDF Trading through 2018 of cargoes delivered ex-ship (DES) at its home port of Soyo, Angola.
