ADX Energy Starts Drilling in Romania

ADX Energy, the Australian-based explorer, reports the start of a 3D seismic program in its Parta license area in Romania.

Subject to weather, the program is expected to be completed during the second quarter of this year, the company said in a statement. The first exploration well could be drilled as early as the fourth quarter.

ADX says it holds a 50% interest in the license and is the operator.

The Parta Permit covers an area of 471 square miles and is located in the southern Pannonian basin area of western Romania. It  contains seven excised oil and gas fields,  and is considered underexplored.
