ADNOC to begin gas production at Ras Al Sadr field

The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) will start gas production at the Ras Al Sadr field, official news agency WAM reported on May 16.

The Ras Al Sadr field, located approximately 45 km northeast of Abu Dhabi city, is expected to bolster the region's natural gas production capacity. Initial estimates indicate a production capacity of up to 100mn ft3/day, with plans for further escalation to reach maximum production capacity by 2026.

In addition to natural gas, the Ras Al Sadr field will also contribute to crude oil production, with operations conducted from a site adjacent to the field.

ADNOC is developing the Ras Al Sadr field through partnerships with Japan's Inpex and the Japanese Petroleum Development Company.
