Naftogaz and Exxon to Cooperate on Unconventional Resources
Ukrainian oil and gas company Naftogaz and U.S. energy company ExxonMobil signed a memorandum of cooperation to explore unconventional resources in Ukraine on February 16, Ukraine's Energy and Coal Industry Ministry announced today.
The companies plan to analyze reserves of coal bed methane, shale gas, tight gas and other unconventional resources, according to the document.
"ExxonMobil has global unconventional hydrocarbon experience and we welcome the cooperation with Naftogaz as it brings local technical and operations expertise with its highly talented workforce," spokesman Patrick McGinn said.
