Dana resumes gas production at Khor Mor field after drone attacks

Dana Gas on May 1 announced the successful restart of gas production from the Khor Mor field, which was temporarily disrupted due to recent drone attacks.

“Based upon concrete actions which have been taken by the government of Iraq and the Kurdistan Regional Government to significantly strengthen defenses at the Khor Mor site as well as firm commitments from the highest levels of those authorities, Dana Gas and its partners have taken steps to recommence production from the Khor Mor field,” the company said.

The restart of gas production is being executed in a phased manner, with new measures being implemented to enhance the safety of all personnel and facilities, Dana added.

The Khor Mor field, operated by UAE-based Dana Gas, is situated near territories under Iraqi control and Kirkuk province.
